Portfolio Manager & Head of Taxable Municipals

Michal Sulkowski is a Portfolio Manager & Head of Taxable Municipals at 16Rock. Mr. Sulkowski is responsible for investment strategy and portfolio construction.

Mr. Sulkowski joined the firm in 2020 with over 20 years of investment experience. Prior to 16Rock, Mr. Sulkowski spent 12 years at Barclays where he was a senior taxable municipal bond trader responsible for providing liquidity and engaging global institutions and high net worth clients. He played an integral part in introducing Barclays municipal bond platform to clients in Asia and Europe. Before trading, he spent his first two years at Barclays as a programmer, who helped build the municipal department’s risk management and credit research platform. Prior to this, Mr. Sulkowski spent eight years at Lehman Brothers as a money market trader and in the firm’s securities products and quantitative risk reporting groups.

Mr. Sulkowski earned a BA in Business Management from SUNY Geneseo, New York and an MBA in Quantitative Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. Mr. Sulkowski is an active volunteer in his local church and youth sports.
